The snow may be thin on the ground but that has not stopped heiress Paris Hilton from enjoying her holiday in the upmarket ski resort of Aspen, Colorado.

The socialite, 30, hit Main Street wearing a Pucci padded coat with a matching pink hat and the obligatory sunglasses.

Hilton's famous pet dog Tinkerbell was nowhere to be seen, although the pampered pooch was last seen sitting sweetly on her lap in a private jet as they touched down in the Rockies.

The reality TV star has been revelling in spending quality time with her family after a few weeks of jet-setting around the world.

She jetted via private jet to Aspen just 24 hours after flying into Los Angeles from Italy.

She tweeted: 'Just landed in Aspen with @KathyHilton @NickyHilton @ConradHilton @BarronHilton @VanessaDubasso, my dad & Tinkerbell! Love my #family!

Taking to her Twitter, she enthused: 'Having the best time skiing with my dad in #Aspen. #FatherDaughterDay :) Feel so lucky to have such an amazing dad, love him so much!

'Love skiing down the mountain blasting @DJAfrojack @DavidGuetta & @Kaskade on my Ipod. It's like clubbing in the snow;.'

After the father-daughter fun, they reunited with the rest of the Hilton family for a dinner at the private diner The Caribou Club.

Paris jetted to the Colorado resort on Monday along with mother Kathy and younger siblings Nicky, Conrad and Barron.

Kris Jenner wants you to know that her 31-year-old daughter is sobbing from dusk 'til dawn within the beige confines of her Calabasas mansion now she's returned to LA from visiting her poor, dumped husband Kris Humphries, 26, in Minnesota.

'She needs to do what she's doing now and cry and figure it out,' Jenner, 56, told Extra during an interview with Maria Menounos at The Grove shopping mall in Hollywood.

'She's just trying to follow her heart, and she's going to be okay.'
Kim will eventually open up about what led to her decision to file for divorce, her mother added.

Such trailing of the sordid details has been criticised as protracted advertising for the new series of Kim and Kourtney Take New York.

But the Kardashians have vowed to ban all divorce drama from the shows, however, it certainly doesn't stop Kim taking part in an interview elsewhere, and one that's televised at that.

Something that did happen without the E! cameras there to document it, was Kim's midnight flight to Minnesota to see Kris on Saturday night.

And she wasn't at the CBS studios in Hollywood to support her brother Rob in the semi-final of Dancing with the Stars with the rest of her family.

Though she was in Minnesota for less than 24 hours, Kim and Kris met with the pastor who performed their wedding ceremony to discuss what went wrong in the 72-day marriage.

Sources told TMZ that while Kim was 'conflicted about the divorce' there was no chance of a reconciliation for the pair and that the summit was about 'closure.'

And Us Magazine are reporting that the mission came as a result of a hostile email exchanges that were building up between the pair.

Kim is said to have wanted to stem the tide before things in the press and at court got ugly between them.

'They both came away with a better understanding of their relationship,' a source revealed.

It certainly seemed intense, the reality star was spotted on the porch of Kris's lavish home during their talks, pacing like a Bronte sister on a windswept moor with phone clasped to her ear rather than a symbolic brace of heather.

Later as she left with suitcase and pillow for the flight, Kris could be seen at the door staring after his wife of such a short period with a hang-dog expression.

When she arrived back at LAX, Kim appeared to be looking drained.

If you look more closely, however, she looks great for having just travelled cross-country, and has even taken care to apply some blusher.

Though her trademark eye make-up had not been applied, to achieve that red raw eye effect.

First Muslim Woman to be Crowned Miss U.S.A

A 24-year-old Lebanese immigrant has been crowned Miss U.S.A.

Rima Fakih, from Dearborn, Michigan, is believed to be the first Muslim to win the pageant despite nearly stumbling over in her evening gown last night.

Born in Lebanon, she emigrated with her parents to the U.S. as a baby. She was raised in New York and attended a Catholic school.

Miss Fakih told pageant judges that her family celebrates both the Christian and the Muslim faiths.
They moved to Michigan in 2003, where she was later crowned Miss Michigan.
Pageant officials said competition records were not detailed enough to confirm if she is the first Arab-American or Muslim woman to win the contest.

The Miss U.S.A. pageant, co-owned by Donald Trump and NBC, was held at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino last night.
Miss Fakih competed against 50 others in the swimsuit, evening gown and interview competitions.
She nearly fell while finishing her walk in a long, strapless gown because of the length of its train - but managed to recover.

In the interview, Miss Fakih was asked whether she thought birth control should be paid for by health insurance.

But the socialite outdid herself last night when she showed off her toned body in TWO stylish ensembles to attend events in the run up to tomorrow's highly-anticipated Super Bowl.

Early in the evening, the 29-year-old looked stunning in a colourful, geometric-print, strappy dress as she dined with family and her New Orleans Saints footballer boyfriend Reggie Bush, 24, at Miami's Prime 112 Restaurant.

Following the meal at the world-famous steakhouse, Kim tweeted: 'Sooo yummy! Prime One Twelve with the Familia!'

Kim recently said 'relaxing' prior to the Super Bowl was the best way to help boyfriend Reggie prepare for the big game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

She told Eonline.com: 'We have just been completely relaxing. Now we're just going to dinners with our family and with our friends.

And it's just about being low-key now from this point on and focusing.'

But as the troubled actress posed for a photoshoot on a Santa Monica beach recently, onlookers found themselves distracted by the nasty cuts, bruises and scratches on her body.

On her right thigh, it appeared a chunk of Lindsay's skin has been removed, while a painful red scratch lay beneath it.

She also had another bruise on her left shin and a deep scratch on her right arm.

But despite her many injuries, Lindsay didn't appeared bothered by them and looked happy.

Amy Winehouse is 'engaged' to ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil - just four months after they ended their brief marriage.

Former music video assistant Blake, 31, claimed the couple only got divorced in September because of a pressure from their families and were planning to start a family.

Blake, who is currently receiving treatment for his drug addiction in Sheffield after being released from prison earlier this year, said the 26-year-old singer was 'the love of my life'.

He told The Sun: 'Amy and I have talked about getting married again and starting a family.

'This time we're doing things properly and hopefully that will help our families both come round to the idea.

'We've been through a lot but we love each other the same as ever. We tried to get on with our lives and see other people, but it wasn't the same.'

Blake admitted he knows Amy's protective father Mitch Winehouse will not be happy about their engagement.

Paris Hilton showed off the cutest addition to her menagerie of pets - her micro-pig Ms Piglet.

The socialite was appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres show last night and told the host: 'This is my new piglet - Ms Piglet - she's so adorable.'

The 28-year-old has enough animals to start a small petting zoo and said they even have their own Christmas tree in Paris's favourite colour - pink.

The micro-pig is a growing trend among celebrities with Victoria Beckham said to have bought two for her husband David as a Christmas present.

Charlotte Church has a pair and Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films, treated his sister to a couple of ginger and black micro pigs.

Paris, who confirmed she is still dating baseball player Doug Reinhardt, bought her designer piglet in Oregon in October.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians brunette plays Debbie Fallon, the fiance of a musician accused of murder, but suspicion eventually turns onto her.

'Someone is murdered and somehow I'm involved,' she explains.

It's cool to get in this mindset and really be this heavily involved in such a crazy crime.'

Kim, 28, struts onto the set in a pair of killer stilettos in the episode Second Chances, which aired in the U.S. last night.

'Detective Flack? My name is Debbie Fallon. You're holding my boyfriend, Sam Baker,' she says before handing the man a business card from her lawyer.

'You are accusing an innocent man of murder.'

Kim appears alongside fellow guest star MTV host Vanessa Minnillo.

According to a producer: 'The ladies play two women who’ve managed to concoct a very interesting scheme that ends in murder.'

Kim enjoyed her time on the popular programme.

Everyone here is so genuinely nice,' Kim says. 'But I was really surprised that CSI: NY films in L.A. I was so excited to go to New York for a little vacay.'

Her performance has received mixed reviews from viewers, ranging from 'wretched' to 'not bad'.

Madonna turned the New York premiere of Nine into a family affair last night as she arrived on the red carpet with daughter Lourdes.

The film may have been set in the Sixties, but Madonna was clearly reprising her own Eighties look as she turned up in a figure-hugging outfit.

With her incredibly youthful face and Like A Prayer outfit, comprising lace Dolce & Gabbana bustier dress, long gloves and silver crucifix, the 51-year-old didn't look much older than she did during the 1989 video.

Her 13-year-old daughter was also going for the Eighties look in a D&G fringed skirt, biker gloves, leather jacket, Doc Martens boots and several beaded necklaces.

Hudson's night on the red carpet come as widespread reports claimed she had split from baseball player Alex Rodriguez after a six-month romance.

Sources close to the high-profile couple said they split a week ago after their return from England, where A-Rod had attended the London premiere of Nine with Hudson.

The film follows Guido attempting to balance the relationships of the various women in his life including his wife (Cotillard), mistress (Cruz), muse (Kidman), his confidante (Dench), an American fashion journalist (Hudson), his glamorous courtesan (Fergie) and his mother (Loren).

The screenplay - an adaptation of a 1982 Broadway stage hit - was written by the late Anthony Minghella.

They are said to be man's best friend, but Jennifer Lopez could find that her dog is rather costly as she's dragged through the courts in a £3million lawsuit.

The wealthy singer, 40, and her husband, Marc Anthony, are involved in a legal battle launched by an air hostess who claims she was bitten by Anthony's German shepherd.

In court papers, Lisa Wilson, 40, says military-trained guard dog, Floyd, attacked her three years ago when she was working on a private jet.

She claims the dog growled at her and bit her trouser leg, causing her to fall over and injure her back so badly that she is unable to work.

Ms Wilson is now suing the couple in Brooklyn Federal Court in New York.

A vet who examined Floyd, which is Anthony's 'personal protection' dog, said the couple are responsible for the attack.

In an eight-page report, Dr Karen Overall, who has a PhD in zoology, found the dog was a menace.

She wrote: 'It is clear to me that Floyd, Mr Anthony's personal protection dog, behaved inappropriately, aggressively and in a manner that consistently endangered humans.'

Ms Wilson was carrying silverware when she claims the alleged attack happened in 2006 and the vet found that a personal chef for the couple had also been the subject of the dog's anger when he carried sharp objects.

Wilson also noted that she had been told to be careful around Floyd - which her team claims is more evidence the couple knew he was a danger.

She contends Anthony ordered her not to make eye contact with the dog and to call Floyd by his name if she needed to pass.

'The dog was obviously dangerous and we will prove at trial that it was only a matter of time before he hurt someone,' said Ms Wilson's lawyer William Cafaro.

Joseph Varvaro, a lawyer for Lopez and Anthony, responded in court papers that he's hired his own animal behaviour expert to evaluate Floyd.

While exposed lingerie is usually considered something of a faux pas, it appeared to be a very deliberate move by Amy to ensure all eyes were on her.

The star recently boosted her bust from a 32B to a 32D, which sources say has given her a fresh air of confidence.

But she's is now said to be hooked on surgery and planning another breast enlargement and even bum implants.

'Amy loves her boobs,' a source told the Sun. 'She can't stop showing them off to friends.

'She says she feels womanly again and wants to be more curvy like she used to be.

'She thinks by having another operation and bum implants that she will achieve her dream pin-up look.'

Amy has also become obsessed with exercise and keeping her body in shape.

'One of Amy’s positive addictions is she’s got her own gym,' her father Mitch revealed.

'She’s in the gym three or four hours a day. I mean boy is she fit – really, really fit. So that’s a really positive addiction.'

But Mitch is more concerned about his daughter reconnecting with her ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

He said that a reunion between the pair would take place 'over my dead body' and branded his former son-in-law a 'vampire'.

Australian fans extremely upset Britney spears in live show over lip-syncing

Britney Spears has been left distraught over claims that she disappointed fans with her lip-syncing while on tour in Australia.

The pop star is 'extremely upset' over the backlash, her promoter admitted, because 'she's a human being'.

Fans who walked out of her Circus tour performance last week because she was miming during segments of the two-hour show said they wanted their money back as her dancing had failed to make up for the lack of words.

One entertainment writer described Miss Spears as looking 'horrifically out of place, like she'd rather be anywhere else but on stage in front of 17,000 fans, some of whom had paid up to £800 for tickets.

'We were led to believe the lip-syncing was necessary because her dancing was so good, so rigorous, she couldn't possibly sing. But her moves were sloppy and stiff, as well as out of time.'

This came as the embattled singer raised eyebrows for leaving her hotel in Perth, Western Australia, wearing a top that left no-one in any doubt that she was bra-less.

Claims that she lip-syncs blew up in Britain in November last year when she mimed to her latest hit Womanizer on the X Factor.

And even though publicity before she started her Australian tour last week suggested she would be miming on stage again, many fans still expressed their disappointment.

Entertainment writer Rebekah Devlin's report on her and other fans' dismay over the lip-syncing has now blown up into an ugly war of words.

Miss Devlin declared 'Don't call me a liar' while Miss Spears' Australian promoter, Paul Dainty, claimed the report about fans walking out was 'the biggest lie I've ever heard'.

The writer said she had personally spoken to 25 people who walked out of the Perth performance - some as early as the third song - and while she was speaking to disgruntled fans, more and more people walked past.

She added that a security guard had commented that he had never seen so many people walk out.

Miss Devlin said that while the staging was spectacular, the dancers and acrobats incredible, in the midst of it all there was Britney 'prancing and dancing awkwardly on the stage, moving her lips with nothing coming out.'

Mr Dainty said: 'I'm so angry. We can take heat if there's something wrong and people can review shows badly - that's something you have to live with - but to say people stormed out of the show was an absolute fabrication.'

Thousands of Perth fans have written in to Miss Spears' personal website and to Twitter to congratulate her on her comeback, some describing the Perth performance as 'awesome', 'brilliant' and 'amazing'.

The revelation, before her tour began, that Miss Spears would be miming her songs has led to politicians in three Australian states calling for new laws to force music promoters to disclose whether a concert will be live or lip-synced.

One suggestion has been that a warning should be printed on tickets.

Miss Spears, who is travelling with her father, will perform in Melbourne on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week before flying to Sydney.

The 14-concert Australian tour finishes in Adelaide on November 29.

Winehouse, who is battling to overcome drink and drug addictions after a protracted holiday getting clean in St Lucia, has said that the teenager is better than she was at the same age.

It is being released through Lioness, a new record label created by Winehouse.

The 26-year-old said: I’m just so proud of her. I’m very lucky to have a record label. I’ve got all these people that I love, that are really talented – and Dionne is my number one.'

Dionne, described as an exceptional talent by the BBC, said that she and her godmother are both huge fans of Strictly Come Dancing.

She said: 'I watch it every single Saturday, so it was brilliant to find out I’ll be on TV for the first time singing on one of my favourite shows.'

The BBC is currently in the throes of a row surrounding professional dancer Anton Du Beke.

Glamour model Katie Price has sensationally claimed that the person who raped her is a well-known celebrity.

Two weeks ago, she revealed she was raped 'more than once' when she was younger.

But now the 31-year-old has gone one step further by announcing that the perpetrator was a famous face - but she still won’t reveal their identity.

She even said ex-husband Peter Andre knows who it is - something he quickly denied

She said: 'A famous celebrity raped me and Peter knows who it was. It was years ago before I was with Pete, and my friends and family knew about it at the time.'

There has been much speculation about what's been going on with Lindsay Lohan's lips recently.

But as the actress was spotted out and about in New York yesterday, it appeared she had taken things to new heights.

The 23-year-old's lips looked swollen, sparking speculation she could have been at the collagen again.

At one point, the Mean Girls star was seen tugging at her bottom lip, seemingly in a bid to draw attention to her trout pout.

She was wearing a black hat during her trip and continued to wear it as she went out later in the trendy Meatpacking District.

Perhaps Lindsay has given her lips a boost in order to attract attention.

In a U.S. TV interview last week she admitted she consciously decided she wanted to be in the spotlight just like her pop princess idol Britney Spears.

Lohan said: 'I think I always kind of aspired to be like Britney Spears in the tabloids when I was in middle school.

'It's kind of something you sign up for in the beginning and if you really want it, you know that comes with it.'

The star admitted she would also like to straighten out like Britney.

'I know that I'm a target and I know that I've given people a lot of reason to kind of run with things that have been said.

So it must have come as something of a shock to hotel heiress Paris Hilton to find herself in the company of Oscar Wilde and Barack Obama in the latest edition of the Oxford Dictionary of Quotations.

The 28-year-old enters the prestigious tome with: ‘Dress cute wherever you go, life is too short to blend in.’

It is one of over 20,000 new quotations to enter the latest, updated edition - the seventh in the book's 65-year history – in a bid to bring in more 21st century contributions.

She joins former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin who said: ‘What's the difference between a hockey mom and a pitbull? Lipstick.’

New quotes come from the likes of British authors Terry Pratchett and Philip Pullman, Stephen Hawking, Aung San Suu Kyi and late comedy host and jazzman Humphrey Lyttelton.

Some are not as new as they seem.

Barack Obama's contribution: ‘The arc of history is long but it bends towards justice' was famously similar to one used by Martin Luther King in 1968.

The dictionary also publishes, for the first time, several quotes from the past, even a 'new' one from Confucius, the 5th Century BC Chinese philosopher.

This may be because they have been used or referenced by others in recent years or that the researchers have, after years, managed to source and verify them as genuine.

Some have taken on a whole new relevance, such as former US President Thomas Jefferson who died almost 200 years ago but said: ‘Banking establishments are more dangerous than standing armies.’

The book's editor, Elizabeth Knowles, said: ‘Events may give an older utterance very topical significance – for example, Thomas Jefferson has for obvious reasons been quoted quite widely in the last year.’

She added other quotes from the past sometimes become familiar to new audiences and much more widespread because of the internet.

She said: ‘Anything quoted today, verbally or 'written' in electronic form, can be and probably will be encountered by people all over the globe.

‘And as more data is added to online sources, more voices from the past find a route to us today.

The new edition of the dictionary reflects the impact of these changes.’

The troubled singer recently arrived back in her native London after spending eight months recording and recuperating on the Caribbean island of St Lucia.

Not wanting to miss out on the action, the 25-year-old dolled herself up for a night out at The Hawley Arms in Camden, North London.

Once inside the pub, a favourite with celebrities, she mingled with friends including comedian Noel Fielding.

An unsteady-on-her-feet Amy finally left the venue swigging from a bottle of beer at 3.30am.

She walked to her nearby home, which she later emerged from at 6am yesterday looking tired and cold.

Last month, the Rehab star was spotted stumbling out of another North London pub in a daze.

On that occasion she had a wet stain on the front of her T-shirt, teary eyes, spotty red skin and traces of what looked like a mystery substance in her right nostril - and had to be helped to her car.

Her spokesman insisted Amy, who has made no secret of her past struggle with drug addiction, was not back on drugs and denied there was anything suspicious in her nose.

Words were exchanged between the couple on the dancefloor. And as these pictures show, Mel forcefully pushed Stephen away. The pair left soon after.

The incident was a small blemish in an otherwise fabulous party which went on until after 3am.

Cage sadly only stayed for a short while though his co-star Eva Mendes stuck it out rather longer, valiantly batting off male attention throughout the evening.

The normally picture perfect Posh appeared tired and fraught on as she went shopping with her sons in Los Angeles.

Even with helping hands, any mother of sons could appreciate how daunting that task might seem.

But during this trip, she appeared to have barely any make-up on as she was driven to the shops yesterday.

At the weekend, Mrs Beckham was spotted without a scrap of warpaint on after a session at her Beverly Hills gym.

And it was clear she didn't want to be spotted in her tired-looking state as she put on her trademark huge shades and kept an eye out for lurking photographers as she shopped.

Miss Lohan was out on the shopping spree when a friend asked her to temporarily tend to her child and, by the looks of it, motherhood is something that certainly seems to agree with the 23-year-old.

It was smiles all round for the baby in question as well, as the actress pulled faces and cradled the the infant as if it were her own.

So could this be the begining of new, improved Lindsay Lohan? Let's hope so.

But luckily for fans of the version who is constantly partying and having relationship meltdowns it was business as usual as, later that day, she and Miss Ronson headed for the Dark Room Bar in West Hollywood for drinks with friends of the late musician, DJ AM.

'I’ve always wanted to get into producing. After my reality TV show is done, the next step is producing. I definitely see myself in the producing chair.'

But Amy Winehouse's attempts to stay in the spotlight went a step further today after she emerged with 'freckles' painted on her nose.

The splodges - apparently daubed on by the singer herself - were on display on a trip to the dentist.

And while the star is known for having freckles, an expert said the markings were probably body art rather than natural blemishes.

Dr Sunil Chopra, a dermatologist for The London Dermatology Centre, told MailOnline: 'These are definitely not freckles.
'The markings are linear and it appears as if she has drawn them on herself with make-up perhaps.'

A spokesman for Amy agreed that it looked as if the singer had been performing a little artistry on herself.

He said: 'It seems it's a make-up malfunction, caused by the hurry to make that dentist appointment!'

Amy was attending an emergency dental appointment when she showcased her latest bizarre look.

The Rehab singer had two fillings at the surgery and emerged later with swollen-looking cheeks from the anaesthetic.

The former American Idol judge has reportedly been replaced in the recurring role of office temp Helen by former 3rd Rock From The Sun star Kristen Johnston. Entertainment Weekly, which first reported the news, said the part fell through because of contract demands. Abdul reportedly wanted a private jet.

The gorgeous couple hung out in the water, chatting and hugging, and then made their way up the sand for a spot of sunbathing. The pair must have been taking a tiny bit of time off from being new parents as there was no sign of their daughter - 13-month-old Honor Marie.

A bit of beach time must have helped them unwind from their packed schedules. Film producer Cash has just been filming in China and Jessica's schedule is packed at the moment.

This year alone, she has filmed roles in drama An Invisible Sign of My Own and murder mystery The Killer Inside Me. Blake Fielder-Civil said they were partying with the supermodel in New York when Winehouse went into her purse and pocketed two grammes of the drug. They were mingling with other models and Hollywood stars in a private suite at the city’s Gramercy Park Hotel. He said: 'Kate had told Amy to get a $10 note out of her handbag to snort lines with.

Fielder-Civil, 27, who married Winehouse, 25, in May 2007 but divorced her 11 days ago, also said his ex got addicted to heroin immediately after her first hit of the drug. He said she first tried the Class A drug during one of their 'mad nights' in an east London hotel room in 2006 after watching him take it. 'We had a bottle of pink champagne and had sex and were lying on the bed talking. I’d been smoking heroin on my own before that but never in front of her,' he said. 'I got a bit for myself and she looked at me and said, "can I have some?" I was out of my mind on drugs and I said, "of course". 'She inhaled the heroin and then just sat back, smiled, and her eyes went a bit funny. She said, "I can see why you take this". Amy took to heroin like a duck to water.' But Fielder-Civil, who claimed they spent up to £7,000 a week on drugs, said within a matter of weeks, she was begging him to buy more, before she allegedly moved on to crack cocaine. Kate Moss was unavailable for comment. Fielder-Civil was today reported to have been sent back to rehab after failing another drugs test. Failing a test is a breach of his parole terms. He left prison in February after serving time for assault and trial-fixing.

Amy Winehouse was today acquitted of punching a fan in the face at a charity concert.

The 25-year-old singer had been accused of acting with ‘deliberate and unjustified violence’ against dancer Sherene Flash who had asked her for a photograph.

But Miss Winehouse insisted any contact with Miss Flash, 30, was accidental and purely an instinctive reaction to push her away backstage at a concert in aid of the Prince’s Trust last summer.

The Grammy award-winning artist told a two day trial at Westminster Magistrates Court in central London that she had felt intimidated by a drunken Miss Flash who was being pushy and rude.

Today district judge Timothy Workman found the star not guilty of common assault.

‘Weighing the evidence of Miss Flash against all the other eye witnesses called for both the prosecution and the defence, I cannot be sure that this was not an accident,' he said.

Moments after the verdict was delivered Miss Winehouse changed out of her demure skirt suit and into black skinny jeans and a leather jacket.

She left the court looking every inch the rock chick with a cigarette pursed between her lips and surrounded by bodyguards.

Asked if she was relieved, she replied: ‘Yeah, I’m going home bro.’

Her father Mitch, who sat in the public gallery throughout the hearing, added: ‘We’re delighted.’

Had the Back to Black singer been convicted she could have faced up to six months in prison.

Her barrister Patrick Gibbs QC said in closing speeches: ‘The main injury here was probably to Miss Flash’s pride or maybe she felt she had been made to look silly in front of friends and colleagues after acting a little unwisely.’

Chris Goodman, spokesman for Miss Winehouse, said would be concentrating on music projects now that this matter was behind her.

Winehouse has fought a very public battle against drink and drugs since coming to prominence five years ago.

Mr Goodman said: ‘Amy Winehouse would like to thank her family, friends and legal team during this difficult time.

‘She has always maintained her innocence and is very happy to move on with her life and put the episode behind her.'

It has emerged Winehouse's missed her grandmother's funeral because of her trial.

The singer was in the dock during the funeral yesterday but joined family and friends to pay her respects after the hearing had ended for the day.

She was said to be upset by the death of 86 year-old Esther, who had suffered from Alzheimer's disease for the last year, and lived at a care home.

Amy, was determined to attend Shiva - the week-long period of mourning in the Jewish faith for close family - to support her grieving mother, Janis.

The family enjoys a close bond, and Amy is very much at the centre of it,' said Janis. 'She couldn't interrupt the court case, but was determined to be with me and her relatives at the first opportunity.

Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr turned out to support his wife Susie, who produced the movie, and actresses Emmy Rossum and Ashley Rickards also made the guest list.

The film, which stars Isabelle Fuhrman, 12, centers on a disturbed girl whose malicious nature is unleashed on her adoptive parents, played by Vera Farmiga and Peter Sarsgaard.

Ever practical Katie Price has revealed her plans for the future after splitting from husband Peter Andre. And some of them sound all too familiar.

The former glamour model who recently returned from Los Angeles where she flew for meetings with Hollywood's Creative Artists Agency, said she is taking acting lessons, getting some more Botox treatments and a new tattoo done.

Katie revealed she plans to have a large tattoo of hearts and crowns on her back, which she originally wanted to have done in Ibiza but 'bottled' out.

The keen horsewoman is also taking delivery of a 'pimped' new horse box, which has been finished in pink glitter and will have enough room for three horses.
In her column for OK! magazine, Katie kept talk about Pete to a minimum, but was keen to let readers know that she was moving forward with her life.

But in an interview on ITV1’s Loose Women Katie returned to her favourite subject.

She said she hasn’t cried since her split from Peter Andre because she was expecting the marriage to end and she did all her crying while they were together.

Katie said: 'I was always expecting it to end. For two years, me and Pete - we tried, like any marriage, you do try - it was like "If you push your luck, I will finish with you." So I suppose I got to a stage where I was always expecting it. I did all my crying while I was married.'

But she said that now she is feeling much better, adding: 'I’m so happy, whether people believe it or not, I’m in such a happy place. I have got such a big weight lifted off.”

She said the children have picked up on the break up but she hopes it won’t affect them.

'Junior sort of knows there’s something going on. My mum and dad split up when I was young and I remember bits, but from Pete’s side, my side, there’s so much love going on, I think kids need that support.

'What am I going to do, sit and cry? I’ve got kids, I don’t want them to see me upset.'

However, the discord between Katie and Peter is forcing their friends to choose sides.

Katie's make-up artist Gary Cockerill is the first to make the awkward decision - as he is to renew his wedding vows with partner Phil Turner at the beginning of August.

The ceremony, at west London's Chiswick House, will be a star-studded affair and is being filmed for Living TV.

The couple have spent hours agonising over the guest list. Gary and Katie are close but he and Phil are also friends with Pete. Yet Pete has not been invited.

A source said: 'Katie and Pete's mutual friends can see them separately but, as they can't be in the same room together, their friends have the terrible decision to make. Gary is really close to both Katie and Pete.

'He has styled them both for years and has even lived with them in the past when he was in high demand.

The pair were yesterday spotted on the set of Katie's movie Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark, which she is filming in Australia.

Katie, 30, picked up Suri for a hug in a break from filming, wrapping her in a blanket to keep out the chilly winter air.

Suri was warmly dressed in a red quilted mac, with skinny jeans and Mary Janes. She carried a red teddy nearly as big as herself, and walked hand-in-hand with her mother as they headed to a trailer.

Katie's husband Tom Cruise accompanied the pair to Melbourne two weeks ago, keeping Suri occupied while Katie filmed the horror movie.

The 23-year-old redhead turned up at Samantha's Hollywood home at 6am on Monday morning - an hour after Samantha returned home alone after a late night with Sopranos actress Drea De Matteo.

After the couple were heard rowing in Samantha's house, the DJ demanded Lindsay leave the house and threw a bag of the actress's clothes onto the street.

During their early morning row, Lindsay was heard accusing Samantha of being a 'liar'.

On Sunday night, Sam met up with Drea for dinner at Nobu in Malibu, before continuing the night elsewhere.

Sam, 31, finally returned to her house at 5am and laughed off a paparazzo's assumption of a romantic date with Drea, 37.

She said: 'She's one of my best friends.'

Sam is friends with both Drea and her fiancé, country singer Shooter Jennings, father of her 20-month-old daughter Alabama.

The 'I Heart Ronson' event was an evening to celebrate Sam’s twin sister Charlotte’s new clothing range.

The next day, Sam changed the locks on the Hollywood Hills home she shared with Lindsay and there were reports the Ronson family made inquires with police about a restraining order.

Lindsay admitted feeling 'alone' without her lover and claimed that many of her former Hollywood friends - including Nicole Richie - had abandoned her.

Britney Spears storms off stage after performers claim fans were 'smoking too much'

Britney Spears upset fans last night when she stormed off stage for 40 minutes.

The singer was just three songs into the Vancouver date of her Circus tour when the stage went black and Britney vanished off the stage.

After keeping the audience waiting for 30 minutes without an explanation, an announcement over a loudspeaker finally told the crowd excessive smoke around the stage had caused the interruption.

A female announcer at the city's GM Place said: 'The building is awfully smoky. It is uncomfortable for everyone on stage, including Ms. Spears.

'Please extinguish all cigarettes - this is a non-smoking building, and the show will resume when the smoke on the stage is cleared.'

The announcement provoked angry boos from the crowd, who had been in good spirits until the show's halt.

Further angering the crowd, the venue piped in organ intermission music normally used during hockey games.

After the smoke finally cleared, Britney returned to the stage in a silver dress to perform her debut hit single ...Baby One More Time and carried on with the show.

As with all her previous shows on the Circus tour, which kicked off in New Orleans, Louisiana last month, Britney lip-synched her way through some of her biggest hits in a series of scantily-clad outfits.

Her spokesperson said: 'We want to apologise to all the fans who attended our Vancouver show tonight for the brief pause in Britney's set.

'Crew members above the stage became ill due to a ventilation issue.'

After just over an hour on stage, Britney closed the show with a rendition of Womanizer surrounded by a curtain of sparkly pyrotechnics.

Taking a bow, Britney said: 'Thank you Vancouver, you guys have a wonderful night. Drive safe, don't smoke weed.'

Despite Britney's comments about marijuana, her spokesperson denied reports the smoke from the illegal herb had caused the disruption, insisting it was tobacco fumes.

Repeating a bizarre phrase used from Britney's concert in Edmonton on Monday, Britney urged the crowd to 'rock out with your c**ks out. Peace motherf***ers'.

Britney is set to perform in Tacoma, Washington state today, before jetting down to California for more gigs this weekend.

The Circus tour runs for four months and covers the US, Canada and England, with plans to expand to the rest of Europe and Australia.

She will perform six gigs in London's O2 arena from June 3 to 14.

She's six shows into her world tour, and Britney Spears is clearly enjoying being back in the spotlight – and in some seriously skimpy costumes.

But perhaps she's already feeling a little too relaxed about life on stage.

As she made an entrance on a swing at the weekend, the pop princess seemed unconcerned about the danger of being seen from an unflattering angle.

It was a stark contrast to the opening night of the tour when she showed off an enviably toned stomach.

But a girl can only hold it in for so long, and Miss Spears, who has surprised critics with her performances, was happy to adopt the slouched pose at the show in Newark, New Jersey.

It is not as though Miss Spears, 27, will be unable to keep herself in shape on the road. Despite some fans being unimpressed at her miming, there is no doubting the energy she puts into her dance routines.

The singer has attracted a celebrity crowd to her comeback shows, with guests including Madonna and Natalie Portman making an appearance in recent days.

In the five years since she last toured, Miss Spears has been married and divorced and suffered a high-profile breakdown which at one stage resulted in her briefly being sectioned.

But the release of the album Circus has been seen as a return to form.

Arrest warrant issued for Lindsay Lohan in connection with drink driving conviction

Beverly Hills police have issued an arrest warrant for actress Lindsay Lohan in connection to her 2007 conviction for drink driving.

The $50,000 warrant was issued by the Beverly Hills Superior Court, the police said in a statement.

They declined to state the reason for the warrant's issue.

Today Lohan was seen enjoying lunch with a friend at a restaurant in Beverly Hills.

Dressed in black leggings and a white shirt, the actress walked past the waiting paparazzi before climbing into the passenger seat of a waiting car.

'It is our hope that Ms Lohan will surrender herself so that this matter can be resolved in a timely manner,' Beverly Hills police Lieutenant Mark Rosen said in a statement.

'...[The] Beverly Hills Police Department is confirming a warrant was in fact issued for the arrest of Lindsay Lohan.

'The $50,000 warrant issued by the Beverly Hills Superior Court stems from a May 2007 arrest of Miss Lohan for DUI and hit-and-run.'

In November 2007, the now 22-year-old Lohan spent 84 minutes behind bars for a drunken driving and cocaine-possession conviction.

She had been arrested the previous May after she wrecked her car in Beverly Hills and again in July following a car chase in the Los Angeles beach community of Santa Monica.

This is Britney Spears appearing as a pie-baking 1950s housewife with a perfect family in her controversial new video, If You Seek Amy.

The star is clad in a blonde bouffant wig, pink blouse and short white skirt in the feature, the third song to be taken from her latest album Circus.

She is seen with a handsome, preppy man and two well-dressed children in a home with a white picket fence.

Last month, the singer wrote on her Twitter blog: 'Yesterday's If You Seek Amy shoot was super sexy and really fun! I can't wait for you all to see it.'

But the track has already provoked outrage because when Spears sings the title of the song out loud it is akin to spelling out the F-word in letters.

An American pro-censorship group, the Parents Television Council, has already called for the song to be banned from the airwaves.

President Tim Winter says playing the song between 6am and 10 pm would 'violate the broadcast indecency law'.

He said: 'There is no misinterpreting the lyrics, and it's certainly not about a girl named Amy.'

With some radio stations in the U.S. threatening to ditch the song, the singer announced last month that the title would be changed to 'If You See Amy' and amended the offensive sections of the track.

There were two parts of the song caused outrage. One was: 'All the boys and girls are begging to If You Seek Amy.'

The other was its chorus: 'Oh baby, baby, if you seek Amy tonight/Oh baby, baby, we'll do whatever you like.'

Her decision to make the alterations means the lyrics no longer make sense but the new version is set to be released in the UK in May.

The track was also attacked in Australia. A Sydney housewife, Leonie Barsenbach, described her outrage saying: 'I was astonished when I heard my five and seven-year-old kids singing "f**k me".'

'I was horrified. I got them the Circus album but there was no warning on it... It is extremely offensive. I feel deceived.'

The video sees Britney coming outside her house to hand the paparazzi an apple pie she's baked.

One girl in the video, who appears to be playing her child, is dressed in a grey school uniform which echoes the singer's provocative schoolgirl uniform from the video of her 1999 debut hit song Baby One More Time.

She also appears to have borrowed a little style from an old Pepsi Commercial where she appears dressed in series of outfits, including a '50s ensemble.

She may not look like she eats very much, but Katie Holmes has revealed she likes nothing more than tucking into her husband's signature dish - creamy carbonara pasta.

Katie opens up about life as Mrs Tom Cruise in a special 70th anniversary edition of U.S. Glamour magazine, which features her on three different covers.

'I don’t really cook that much - eventually I will,' said Katie. 'I do make cupcakes. And [Tom] makes his pasta carbonara for me

'He knows exactly how to do it: a pinch of this, a pinch of that. He has a recipe, but he also kind of [improvises] by himself. You have to do the egg at a certain time. He did it once when we were camping.'

With her prominent collar bones and slim figure Katie certainly doesn't look like she enjoys the creamy dish too often.

As well as a hectic workload, she is reportedly also undergoing a punishing detox diet, apparently as a prelude to having a second child.

The regime reportedly left her lethargic and unable to attend this month's Oscars ceremony.

The slim actress features on three front covers for the magazine. In one she smiles over her shoulder in a cheeky pose, while in the other two she adopts a girl-next-door persona, facing the camera.

However there were also reports that the 25-year-old singer, who has famously battled drug and alcohol addictions in the past, continued to drink heavily while on the island.

Guests at a hotel she stayed at were said to have complained about her behaviour.

She is even alleged to have grabbed people’s drinks and begged guests to order alcohol for her after hotel staff refused to serve her.

Following the reports, the Back To Black singer’s father, Mitch, flew out to St Lucia and moved his daughter to a private villa.

Paris Hilton got into the Valentines Day spirit yesterday as she stepped out in Beverly Hills donning a huge pair of pink heart-shaped glasses.

The heiress appeared to be struggling to see through her bright eye-wear and took the glasses off several times during her day out.

The 27-year-old caused a stir as she went shopping in a matching pink outfit which included a plastic head band, skirt, cardigan and high heels.

Hilton has recently denied reports that she was involved in the Rihanna and Chris Brown incident in which the R&B singer is accused of assaulting his pop star girlfriend.
Reports suggested that a text message from Hilton may have been the cause of the couple’s dispute.

Paris was said to have flirted with Brown at a party two weeks ago and reports suggested that his girlfriend became angry when she discovered a message the heiress had sent him.

However Paris has denied all of the rumours and insists that she merely greeted Brown and has not been in contact with him.

'I said hello and that was it. I love Rihanna, and that never happened,' Paris told RadarOnline.com yesterday.

Paris, who split up with boyfriend Benji Madden last year, recently said she doesn't make it easy for men trying to get her attention.

'I'm always really hard to get with guys. There's a process they have to go through,' she said.

'I'm very old fashioned really and I'll make them have, like, a million dates before the get a kiss.

'People are surprised because they think I've been through so many men, but it's not true. I don't really talk to guys - apart from Benji, who I was with in the past year.

'I'm not ready to move into another relationship. I think it'll be good for me to be alone and find out who I am.

Unfortunately, many observers felt she had simply transformed herself into Kate Winslet. And you can only have one of those.

Gone were the long wavy locks of recent weeks.set off with rich red lipstick and a big furry coat. All in all she looked almost identical to Winslet in New York last week.

The singer can perhaps hope that, as a consolation, some of the actress's luck. While Madonna has had to of the raunchy nature of her latest ad campaign for Louis Vuitton, Winslet, 33, can't put a foot wrong.

Confusion reigns in Big Brother house as the 'celebrities' don't recognise each other

Viewers could be forgiven for not recognising some of the contestants in the new series of Celebrity Big Brother – and it seems some of the housemates themselves are just as baffled.

Singer LaToya Jackson and the actor Verne Troyer failed to recognise many of the British contestants appearing in the reality TV show, which began on Friday.

They sat discussing the housemates – and after Scottish socialist politician Tommy Sheridan left the room, Michael Jackson’s sister asked the Austin Powers star: ‘Who was he?’

Verne, 40, said: ‘I want to say Michael. At least we know some people here, I know you and I know.

Verne had not recognised Terry Christian, who presented TV show The Word. The others were hoping to boost their profiles, added Verne.

‘I don’t need camera time. I’m here for the money.’

Former TV presenter Ulrika Jonsson is also in the house.

Channel 4 offered refunds to viewers yesterday, after promoting an incorrect text message number on the show Big Brother’s Big Mouth.
